Wrestling Goes 1-2 At Blackford

The Northfield wrestling team went 1-2 in team competition at the Blackford Super 6 Monday. The Norse lost to Bluffton and Blackford then went on to defeat Tri-Central. Layne Evans, Michael Ford and Dayon Waldron won their weight classes by going undefeated.

Wrestlers Have Busy Week

  Northfield defeated Whitko 37-36 last Thursday night.  Winning by forfeit were Madison Nevil, Kade Kennedy and Michael Ford.   After Treyver Lehman, Layne Evans and AJ Hunt pinned their opponents the final score was knotted at 36-36. Due to the cancellation of the Twin Lakes wrestling tournament last Saturday, the wrestlers have picked up a Super 8 at Blackford on Monday January 9th. 5pm: weigh-in 6pm: wrestling begins, 3 rounds Blackford, Bluffton, Northfield, Southwood, Taylor & Tri-Central

The Northfield wrestling team lost wrestling matches to Lewis Cass and Manchester Tuesday night.  Winning by pin against Manchester were Macauley Miller and Layne Evans.  Against Lewis Cass Macauley Miller won by forfeit while Layne and Jeremy Okuly both pinned their opponents. The Northfield wrestling team was defeated by Maconaquah 30-54.  Winning by pin were Dayon Waldron, Macauley Miller, Hunter Cox and AJ Hunt.  Micheal Ford finished the scoring with a forfeit. In jv action Jeremy Okuly pinned his opponent.

Evans, Miller And Okuly Crowned County Champs

  The Northfield wrestling team took 3rd place in the Wabash County Wrestling Tourney Saturday.  Layne Evans, Macaully Miller and Jeremy Okuly were county champions in their weight classes. Northfield took 6th place in the Wabash County Wrestling Invitational part of the tourney Saturday.  Layne Evans and Macaully Miller ended the day undefeated going 5-0

Evans, Waldron and Ford Go 5-0 At Jeff

The Northfield wrestling team competed in the Bronco Duals Saturday, November 19 at LafayetteJeff High School and went 1-4.   Seniors Layne Evans and Dayon Waldron, joined junior Micheal Ford to finish with 5-0 records. Our next match will be against a tough Oak Hill team, Tuesday at their place. 

Wrestling Season Comes To An End At Semi-State
