The 8th Grade boys’ basketball team lost to Oak Hill 28-19. Brandon Easterday led the Norse with 6 points and 8 rebounds while Cody Holmes contributed 6 points and 6 rebounds. Austin Trump and Caleb Kroh added 4 and 3 respectively. By: Cortney Pennington

The JV boys’ basketball team defeat North Miami on Friday Night, 41-19. Jarred Short and Nick Ridenour each led the Norse with 13 points and 4 rebounds a-piece. Their record is now 6-4 on the year. By: Cortney Pennington

The Lady Norse 8th grade basketball team bounced back and won the 2nd game of the Crestview Tourney by defeating Peru 41-25. Jordan Bratch led the team in scoring with 12 points. The 8th grade boys’ basketball team beat Rochester in the Championship game of Tipp Valley Secondary team invitational 25-21. Isaac Gottschalk led the Norse with 11 points while Jensen Frieden contributed 4 points and 6 steals while Brandon Easterday added 2 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals. By: Cortney Pennington

7th Grade Northfield girls played at the Crestview Tourney on Saturday. First falling to Whitko 7-15. Kenzie Thornsberry scored 3 points, Maddie Synder and Indi Shear each scored 2 points. Second falling to Peru 13-28. Synder scored 6 points, Michelle Hunt scored 4 points which include a 3-point shot, and Ellie Schuler scored 2 points with Shear round

The Varsity Boys’ basketball team traveled to North Miami on Friday Night and beat the Warriors. Ryan Keaffaber led the Norse with 23 points and 7 rebounds, while Collin Dawes added 16 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds. Noah Shear chipped in 9 points. The record in now 7-5. By: Cortney Pennington
