The varsity softball traveled to Taylor Saturday and came home with a split. Taylor won the first game and the Norse came back and won the second game. In game 1 the Norse were lead at the plate by Shelby Ward, Alexis Taylor, Olivia Taylor, and Kiana Kendall each with 1 hit. Jordan Shafer took the loss throwing 5.6 innings giving up 8 earned runs, striking out 4 and walking 12. At the plate in game 2, Northfield pounded out 10 hits one of which was Ashlie Koch’s first home run of the year. Ally Keaffaber got the win throwing 5 innings allowing 0 earned runs on 1 hit, striking out 4 and walking 6. Our overall record is 5 and 9 and we are 2 – 3 in the TRC. We play tonight at Southwood.
