The Northfield football team traveled to North Miami Friday night to face off with the Warriors for the TRC title. The two smallest schools in the conference would both play large in the first half with the Norse getting the lone score in the half to lead 7-0 at the half before dominating the second half in a 34-0 win.

The Warriors would get the ball first with the Northfield defense stepping up right off the bat with a three and out effort. The Norse however would give the ball right back when North Miami intercepted a Norse pass on their first play. Again the Northfield defense would stop the Warriors with the offense driving to the Warriors 10 before fumbling. Once more the defense would hold before the offense gave the ball back on a second interception.

The second quarter was much of the same with both defenses doing their job with Northfield recovering a fumble before being stopped. The Norse would finally break the ice right before the half when Lane Evans found the end zone with 1:04 on the clock to give Northfield a 7-0 lead at the half.

The lone score of the third quarter came with 5:11 on the clock when Ryan Driscoll grabbed a Warrior punt and raced for a 67yd punt return for a score and a 14-0 lead.

As they have in several games this season the Norse would explode in the fourth. With 10:58 left in the game Jensen Frieden would break loose down the right side for a 54yd score to increase the lead to 21-0. With the defense still controlling the game the Norse would get some breathing room with 6:51 remaining when Evans scored from 3yds out to make it 28-0. With 3:06 left, Braden Ripplinger found the end zone from a yard out for the final score, 34-0.
