To celebrate Valentine’s Day, Student Council is selling Crush Cans. At lunch again TODAY, buy a Crush Can for a friend or yourself! Just fill out a message card with the recipient’s name and the classroom they’ll be in during Norse Time on Thursday, and the Crush Cans will be delivered TOMORROW during Norse Time! Crush Cans are $1, so bring your money to lunch to send a treat to a friend.
Also, Student Council is running a Valentine’s Day balloon sale. Any Valentine’s Day balloons are only $1! Stop by Mrs. E. Sapusek’s room to buy some balloons.
Due to the four-day week, we have detention this week on Wednesday and Thursday. If you were invited to “Wednesday” School this week and didn’t serve this morning, plan to stay with Mrs. Guenin in Room 115 until 4:20 p.m. TODAY. If you were invited to “Thursday” School, you’ll be in Mrs. E Sapusek’s room 108 until 5:35 p.m. TOMORROW.

Course request sheets were due on Friday, and there are many still out. It is very important that all request sheets are turned in to the guidance office ASAP!
How are we doing on attendance? As of last Friday, the overall percentage for Northfield is 95.4%. Currently in the lead for the ice cream treat are the sophomores with 96%, followed by the freshmen, 7th graders, 8th graders, seniors, and finally, the juniors with 94.6%.
Seniors: Northfield’s FAFSA Help Night takes place next Wednesday, February 20 from 4-7 pm in the cafeteria. Financial aid representatives from Manchester University will be here to help you and your parents fill out the FAFSA. If you can’t make it to ours, you are welcome to attend Help Nights at Wabash High School on Monday, February 25, 4:00-7:00 pm or Manchester High School on Tuesday, February 26, 3:00-7:00 pm.
Key Club will have an Evening meeting Monday, February 25th from 6:30-9pm. Please mark your calendars now and plan to attend. Do you want a Key Club hooded sweatshirt? Key Clubbers, check your emails and have your orders in by Feb 26th.
Seniors, the deadline for yearbook Grad Ads is March 31!
High school students, you have only two days left to buy your ticket to Saturday’s semi-formal dance “Starstruck 2013.” Tickets are $10 each and sold during lunch; permission forms to bring a student from another school are available when you purchase your ticket. The dance is at the REMC building from 8-11pm this Saturday.
The Varsity boys’ basketball team celebrated Senior Night with a victory over Maconaquah last night. Seniors Ryan Keaffaber and Collin Dawes led the Norse in scoring with 15 and 13 points respectively. Jon Richardson added 10 points, while Marcus Kroh had a team-high 6 rebounds. The guys return to action Friday Night when they travel to Southwood to take on the Knights.
The JV boys basketball team defeated Maconaquah 55-27. Jarred Short, Heath Miller and Shane Vigar each had 12. Hunter Louden added 10. The Norse are 11-7 and head to Southwood on Friday.
