Course request sheets were due on Friday, and there are still many students who have not turned theirs in. It is very important that you turn in your course request sheet to the guidance office ASAP!
Seniors: Don’t forget Northfield’s FAFSA Help Night takes place next Wednesday, February 20 from 4-7 pm in the cafeteria. Financial aid representatives from Manchester University will be on hand to help you and your parents fill out the FAFSA. If you can’t make it to ours, you are welcome to attend Help Nights at any of the Wabash County schools on the following dates: Southwood High School: TONIGHT, 4:00-7:00 pm; Wabash High School: Monday, February 25, 4:00-7:00 pm; Manchester High School: Tuesday, February 26, 3:00-7:00 pm.
Key Club will have an Evening meeting Monday, February 25th from 6:30-9pm. Please mark your calendars now and plan to attend. Do you want a Key Club hooded sweatshirt? Key Clubbers, check your emails and have your orders in by Feb 26th.

High school students, you have only four days left to buy your ticket to Saturday’s semi-formal dance “Starstruck 2013.” Tickets are $10 each and sold during lunch; permission forms to bring a student from another school are available when you purchase your ticket. The dance is at the REMC building from 8-11pm this Saturday.

In the wrestling semi-state on Saturday, Austin Kirtlan was defeated in his first round match to end his senior campaign with a record of 21-14. Congratulations on a great season, Austin. Joseph Ross becomes the first wrestler from Northfield to win Semi State since Scott Mann in 1990. Joseph pinned his first two opponents to qualify for the State Wrestling meet. In the semifinals, he beat Bryan Salmon from Woodlan 9-4. In the final match Joseph avenged his only loss on the year by outscoring Kyle Garringer of Jay County 7-2. Kyle’s only two points came when Joseph cut him just to take him down again. Joseph is now 36-1 this year with 27 pins. He will wrestle in the State Wrestling Tourney beginning this Friday in Indianapolis. Congratulations, Joseph, and good luck!
The Lady Norse basketball team lost to Wabash in the 2nd round of sectional to finish the season 16 -6. Kylie Echard led with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Katie Stephan and Sidney Reed each had 6 points. Sydney Eltzroth had 5 points. Thanks for a great season. We wish our seniors, Hannah Cole and Sydney Eltzroth the best of luck!
