Lady Norse Tennis Team Fall to Eastern

The Lady Norse tennis team lost to Eastern; the #1 doubles team of Ciara Ritchie and Natalie Schuler were the lone winners. The JV tennis team also lost 1-4.  Liz Howenstine and Jordan Bratch won their Doubles match.

Northfield JV Baseball Team Defeat Marion

In JV baseball last night, Northfield beat Marion. Drew Clark and Jakob Hayes each had four hits, followed by Brady Vigar with 3 and Julian Zapata with 2. Jacob Watkins had 2 RBI. Jakob Hayes threw 3 innings with 7 strikeouts to get the win. Mason Hovey finished the final 4 innings.

JV Baseball Team Fall to Oak Hill

The JV baseball team lost to Oak Hill over the weekend. Mason Hovey went 3 for 3 with two doubles, Sam Burcroff and Jacob Hayes each had one hit and Hayes had our only RBI. Burcroff threw 2-2/3 innings and Hovey came in relief throwing 1-1/3 innings; Burcroff picked up the loss.

Lady Norse Tennis Team Fall to Northwestern

The Lady Norse varsity tennis team lost to a talented Northwestern team.  Singles players Leanne Beck and Jensen Zumbaugh won their matches in straight sets.

Northfield Varsity Track Team Compete at Franklin Central Miracle Mile

The Northfield varsity track team had four individuals compete at the Franklin Central Miracle Mile in Indianapolis Friday night. Varsity Softball Team Fall to Winamac in Double Header

The softball team lost both ends of a double header to Winamac.  Abby Keaffaber took the loss in game 1 and Paige Holley in game 2.  Collecting hits for the Norse were Arie Kennedy 2, Abby Keaffaber, Abigail Poole 3,  Payton Thomson 3, Holley, Caitlin Eltzroth and Breanna Burcroff.

Lady Norse Varsity Softball Team Fall to Mississinewa

The softball team lost to Mississinewa last night.  Paige Holley took the loss pitching 4.6 innings giving up 5 earned runs, walking 5 and striking out 2.  Holley hit a double while Caitlin Eltzroth and  Breanna Burcroff each collected a hit.

Coach Smedley Retires

Moe Smedley, the boys’ basketball coach at Northfield High School, has resigned his position as head coach effective immediately.  Coach Smedley has decided to retire from coaching in order to devote more time to his family.
